Laser cutting

     A laser beam has excellent characteristics for cutting: in particular, the precision of the

cut is very good, and there is very little thermal effect. The method is best suited for rela-

tively thin materials, where very high productivity is required. Many non-metallic mate-

rials can also be cut by laser.
