after welding.

Of the various types of weld backings used in one-sided welding,attention is focused in this paper on

ceramic backings which are capable of withstanding the high temperature of the welding well when in a liquid

state,avoiding the formation of gases during welding and providing an appropriate weld bead finish and flaw-free
