Product Description:Ceramic backing strips are specially designed for automatic as well as semi-automatic welding purpose. It allows welding for steel, aluminum and other alloys of any thickness. It acts as backing material for shipbuilding, marine facilities and other steel structures. 

This backing is suitable for flux core wires and solid wires. It eliminates the need of welding from both sides. It has made lying of tiles easier and less cumbersome. 

It is resistant to acids and chemicals, increasing its durability. Also, it is corrosion resistant and causes no change or chemical reaction while welding. 

Ceramic Backing Strips helps in designing welds which are free from porosity and inclusions. This makes welding stronger and to last longer. 

It is also widely used in wind mills. Besides, it is resistant to rapid cooling and heating, which makes it suitable to be used in extreme temperatures. 

It saves manpower and cost, thus, enhancing the productivity. It ensures enhanced safety and comfort to the welder. It is a non-polluting agent and requires no inclusions. These tapes are available in color, matte, transparent, black and white.

Product Feature:CERBACK is a fine ceramic product composed of adequately mixed natural inorganic substances (kaolin, talc, alumina, magnesia etc.) that are heat-treated at high temperatures of 1,350°C to 1,400°C/ span.

Since CERBACK is heat-treated at high temperatures its shock resistance to rapid heating and cooling is excellent (coefficient of thermal expansion is 1.85-2.5×10¯6 at 1,000°C) and maintains superb stability against the high temperatures. Creates good beads on the back side.

CERBACK has excellent characteristics of ceramic such as anti-acid, anti chemicals and anti-corrosion and also causes no change or reaction of steel at the time of welding.

Product Specification/ Models:CERBACK speeds production, improves worker efficiency and reduces costs. It allows one-sided welding for steel, alloys and aluminium of any thickness. The product is composed of ceramic tiles attached to aluminium tape on which specific heat-resistant adhesives are spread. Designed for one-sided welding, it produces smooth and homogeneous back beads even with high electric current. This product is designed to provide welds that are free from porosity and inclusions. 

The CERBACK series can be used with most types of one-sided welding including FCAW, GMAW, SAW, SEG ARC
