Rihui  weld beads performed with the MIG-MAG

The presents the microstructure of the final weld pass.One can note the microstructure similar to that
observed in the root pass.These structures are typical of weld beads performed with the MIG-MAG process with
ER70S-6 wire.
The inclusions present in the root pass of the globular type appear in great number as shown using the
optical microscope technique with no etching in Figure 14. The same was observed in the finishing weld bead.The NDT
spectrum hooked up to the SEM of non-metallic inclusions both in the root pass and the finishing pass is shown in
In the final weld pass,the typical inclusions were around 57%Fe,11%Al and 26%O2 with

several peaks of C,MG and Si.In the root pass,which was in contact with the cordierite ceramic backing,the composition
was of around 37%O2,31%Fe,20%Al and some peaks of Si and C.
