These sophisticated cordierite based honeycomb shapes are fired in tunnel kilns and shuttle hearth kilns on LO-MASS® kiln furniture systems especially designed for automatic handling. Such systems combine advanced SiC (AnnaSicon® RTH) batts, multi-lug posts and Hexoloy® SE SiC beams.

 They mostly consist of high temperature fired, high density alumina items. The use of advanced SiC kiln furniture (Crystar® 2000 and Hexoloy® SE SiC Beams and Hexoloy® SA SiC Plates) will allow for increased capacity by maximizing the use of the kiln volume and by shortening the firing cycles.

Alumina milling balls are loaded on square mullite (AnnaMullit) or nitride bonded SiC(AnnaSicon®25) saggers.
