The shipbuilding industry is thriving

From January to July this year, Nantong saw 76 newbuildings conducting sea trials, marking a 31% increase compared to the same period last year and a 105% increase compared to the same period in 2023. These include over 20 types of vessels such as the world's largest pile driving vessel, 9,200-vehicle car roll-on/roll-off ships, 16,000 TEU container ships, and polar exploration cruise ships. Nearly half of these are high-tech, high value-added, and specialized marine engineering products.
