Testing consists of both non-destructive and destructive testing, as appropriate, and as

follows:

visual inspection

radiographic or ultrasonic testing

crack detection

transverse tensile test

transverse bend test

impact testing

hardness test

macro and micro examination

The standard specifies how the test pieces shall be positioned.
