Test pieces

The standard specifies the shape and minimum dimensions of standardised testpieces to

be used in connection with the welding procedure. The test pieces must be

sufficiently large to ensure that there is sufficient material to conduct away the heat. When impact

testing of the heat-affected zone is required, the test pieces must be marked with the

rolling direction.
